Sherman Lucas

Lucas, Sherman View/Sign Guest Book LUCAS, SHERMAN, 92, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Rockford Manor. He was a native of Bath County, KY, a retired foreman for the old National Distilleries, a 50 year member of Larchmont Church Of God, and an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by a son, David Lucas (Carol); his fiancé, Lucienne Bookout, his caregiver and friend, Jacquie Miller; sisters, Louise and Viola; brothers, Joe Lucas Jr., Roger and Edward Lucas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Lucas will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Mausoleum. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Thursday. Memorial gifts may be made to his church.
