ROLAND, SHIRLEY CROFT, 74, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, June 26 2010 at Norton Audubon Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was born August 3 1935, to the late Chester Rhea and Edith Dixon Croft. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one son, Larry Belt (Vicki) of Shepherdsville; two daughters, Eydie Ruth (Wayne) of Louisville and Pam Neil (David) of Crestwood; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Kenneth Croft (Larene) of Salem, James Croft of Louisville and Hershel Croft of Hodgenville, as well as twelve nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Roland was also preceded in death by Forest Belt, Marvin Long, Carroll Roland and her brother, Carol Croft.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 10 am Tuesday with an Order of the Eastern Star service being held at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Memorials are suggested to Gethsemane Baptist Church or Home of The Innocents.
The family wishes to thank all her friends and family who have supported her throughout her life, including her brief illness, and most especially the ICU, TCU and OHU nursing staff at Norton Audubon Hospital.
