Sidney James Hancock Share E-mail Visit Guest Book HANCOCK, SIDNEY JAMES, 79, passed away Monday August 3, 2009 at his home.
He retired from International Harvester, worked for Famco and did security for Churchill Downs, was a member of Highland Park Christian Church, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a Kentucky Colonel, and life time member of the DAV.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo; also his son, Dennis O'Bannion; sisters, Alma Sellers, and Mary Ann Murrison; three grand-children, Mary, John, and Denny.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. on Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 1-5 p.m. on Friday. Online condolences at owenfuneralhome.com
