COWAN, STEVE SR., 91, husband of Mildred Milburn Cowan, died Tuesday August 16, 2011 at his residence.
Born June 21, 1920, he is the son of the late Charlie and Agnes Shanohan Cowan. Steve was a 35-year TARC employee and World War II Army veteran.
Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Steve Cowan Jr. (Kathy); three grandchildren and one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
A service celebrating Steve's life will be held 11a.m. Friday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
