Sylvia Cloyd

CLOYD, SYLVIA ESTELLE, 67, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at Baptist Hospital Northeast Hospice Unit in LaGrange, KY. She was born in New Hope, KY, the daughter of Augustus and Addie Cecil. She was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Augustus Cecil. She is survived by her mother, Addie Cecil; her husband, John W. Cloyd; two sons, Mark Modesty and Larry (Dawn) Modesty; a step-son, John W. Cloyd III; a step-daughter, Janet M. Cloyd; two grandchildren, Trent Modesty and Courtney Modesty; three step-grandchildren, John C. Cloyd, Jordan Cloyd, and Brittany Cloyd; a great-great grandson, Benjamin; a sister, Catherine A. Arnold (Melvin); and four brothers, Joseph R Cecil (Kathy), Stephen W Cecil (Judith), Thomas Richard Cecil, and Alton Ray Cecil (Debbi). Her funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday at Epiphany Catholic Church, 914 Old Harrods Creek Road, with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation is 4-9 p.m. Friday at Arch L Heady Westport Road and 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Epiphany Catholic Church.
