Bodemann, T.J. "Bodie" Jr.,

88, of Louisville, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014.

He was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was married at St. Paul's United Church of Christ at Brook and Broadway on July 26, 1946. He was a member of Bethel St. Paul for many years; however most recently he was a member of Hikes Point Christian Church on Hikes Lane. He was a member of Henry R. Kendall Masonic Lodge #750, Scottish Rite Valley of Louisville and a Kosair Shriner.

He is survived by his children, Pamela M. Ragsdale, Dennis Bodemann; grandsons, Damon (Cynthia), Brett (Carrie); and Derek and granddaughter, Chanel Ragsdale; and former daughter/son-in-law, Brenda Landers and Edward Ragsdale and; five great-grandchildren, Samantha and Brett Michael Bodemann (Brett & Carrie); Austin Ragsdale (Derek Ragsdale); Payton and Dalton Ragsdale (Damon & Cynthia Ragsdale); only living brother-in-law, Kenneth Koenig; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine S. "Gerri" Bodemann; granddaughter, Chanel Renee Ragsdale; parents, Theodore and Ada Lena Bodemann; sisters, Margaret Koenig and Carolyn Kays; brothers-in-law, John W. Kays, Sr. and Norman J. Weibel and his wife, Doris M. Weibel and Cornelius (Red) and Queen L. Meffert; nephews, Kermit Koenig and Eugene Voll, Sr.; great-nephew, Eugene Voll, Jr.

His funeral service will be at 12 p.m. Monday, September 8 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Visitation will be from 12-8 p.m. Sunday at Highlands. Inurnment will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery, 4400 Dixie Hwy.

Daddy, your life has been precious to me and I will truly miss you. You made me who I am today as a woman and I love you with all of my heart. May you rest in peace finally without pain and suffering and enjoy your time with mom again. God bless you always!! Take care of mom and Chanel and I will see you someday.
