Thomas Burns

Thomas John Burns, 85, husband of Mary Aldean Kean O'Banion Burns, died Tuesday March 29 at Georgetown Manor in Louisville. Born in Cleveland, Ohio July 14, 1925 he is the son of the late Robert & Elizabeth Gagnon Burns.
Mr. Burns had worked at Scripto Inc. and Fort Myers Airport, was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran and attended Epworth United Methodist Church.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Karen Filidore, his son, Jay (Harumi) Burns, and 2 step-sons, Stephen and Glen (Peggy) O'Banion, 6 grandchildren, Hannah, Connor & Naomi Burns and Melissa, Brian and Danielle O'Banion. 8 great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Robert Burns.
A service celebrating Mr. Burns' life will be held 5:00 pm Thursday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm Thursday until service time.
