Thomas Lee Richard, Jr., affectionately known as Tommy, passed away on September 14, 2023, in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Born on August 19, 1977, Tommy lived a life filled with joy and a strong passion for his trade as a self-employed plumber.
Tommy received his education at Iroquois High School. While Tommy was known for his exceptional plumbing skills, there was much more to him than just his career. He had an unwavering love for sports, particularly as an ardent fan of the University of Kentucky. In his leisure time, Tommy enjoyed engaging in various activities that brought him happiness and relaxation. He had a particular fondness for playing cornhole with friends and family, often showcasing impressive skills that earned him many victories. Additionally, he found solace on the golf course through electronic simulations on his phone and by conquering challenging putt-putt courses. The outdoors held great appeal for Tommy—he cherished spending time in parks and embarking on hiking adventures that allowed him to connect with nature and his son, Cole.
Preceding Tommy in death was his mother, Annetta Adkisson.
Tommy is survived by his father, Thomas Richard, Sr.; his daughter, Haylee Richard; his son, Cole Neville; his beloved dog, Baby One; his sisters, Tracy Wallace (Gary), and Kelli Tinsley (Michael); his nieces, Hannah and Taylar; his nephews, Kaleb and Zach; along with many extended family members and friends.
A visitation service to honor Tommy's memory will be held on September 18, 2023. Friends and loved ones are invited to join from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West located at 4400 Dixie Hwy in Louisville. This gathering will be an opportunity for all who knew Tommy to share precious memories and find solace in one another during this difficult time.
