WOODS, THOMAS E. "TOMMY," 67, passed away Sunday January 20, 2013 at Norton Audubon Hospital.

He was born in Louisville to Joseph A. and Hester (Smith) Woods.

He was a retired cartographer for the Census Bureau, with 27 years service and a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. "Tommy" was an avid Bingo player, NASCAR and sports fan.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Mary Frances "Francie" (Zierer) Woods; his sons, Brian S. Woods (Paula) and Anthony "Tony" Woods (Kelley); three grandchildren; five brothers, Leo, Paul (Jean), Donald (Joyce), Kenny and David Woods (Lennis); and six sisters, Ann Duke, Judy Farese, Martha Murphy (Mike), Barbara Devine (Mike), Linda Vertrees, and Wanda Ice (Mikal).

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2 - 8 p.m. Expressions: Shamrock Foundation or Kentucky Humane Society. Online condolences: owenfuneralhome.com
