He was preceded in death by his mother Anna M. Cockerel.
Survivors include his children, Michael D. Cockerel (Tonya) and Crystal D. Copperwheat (David); sister, Deloris Prather (Richard); two brothers, Tom E. Cockerel (Carol) and Alvin R. Cockerel (Leila); granddaughter, Ceanna J. Cockerel; loving nieces and nephews, Tom, Joe, Melanie, Jefferson and Kristina; and one very special friend, Linda Simpson.
Funeral service celebrating Troy's life will be 7 p.m. Saturday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Family and friends may visit 1-8 p.m. prior to service Saturday.
