VAN LEUVEN, VALERIE JEAN, 56, of Louisville, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
She was the former Valerie Sandlin, and attended Beechmont Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father David L. Sandlin, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Alan Van Leuven; children, Mandy Carte' Turner (Boyce), Tiffany and Nicholas Van Leuven; her mother, Dorothy Sandlin; a sister, Mary Beth Settle (Kenny); brothers, David Jr., (Lucille), George (Kim), Tommy (Angie), and Doug Sandlin (Donna); grandchildren, Austin, Elisabeth, Michael and Aaron.
A service to celebrate Valerie's life will be held at 12 p.m. Monday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with entombment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday.
