Velma Wilkin

Wilkin, Velma Rea Haas,75, of Mt. Washington, KY, returned to her Heavenly Father Saturday, December 20, 2014. Mrs. Wilkin was born October 27, 1939 in Grayson County, KY and was a member of Community General Baptist Church and Gospel Way Baptist Church. Among those who preceded her in death include her first husband, Raymond W. Haas, Sr.; sisters, Corrine Knight, Mamie Webb and Faye Burnett and brothers, Lester, Hershel and Jimmy Kerr. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, William "Bill" Wilkin, her children, Raymond Haas, Jr. (Amithy) and Elisa Pfister (Danny); grandchildren, Courtney, Kyle, Jessica and Abigail; three step children; sisters, Olita Rich, Jerry Daugherty and Emmalean DeWitt and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Road; use John Harper entrance) with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
