Vernon Cassell

Vernon D. Cassell, 87, husband to the late Mary Cassell, passed away on Thursday March 9, 2017.
He was born to the late Charles and Dehli Robinson Cassell in Inez, KY on August 19, 1929.
He was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild and 12 siblings, making him the last of 13 children.

He retired from Armored Car Company, was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church, VFW Post # 5421, and Local 89. He was a proud retired Army Veteran having served in Korea and Vietnam.
Vernon loved life, family, and God. He filled his children's lives with music, love, and laughter.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children; Alan Cassell (Luann), Bonnie Gillett (Bob), Thomas Cassell (Lisa), and Mitzi Miller along with 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at noon at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-7 and Wednesday from 10:00 until time of service.
