Vesta L. Colyer "Ted" ShareE-mail Visit Guest Book COLYER, VESTA L. "TED," 84, of Louisville, born December 24, 1924, in Bertram, TX, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Park Terrace. She retired from the old Bacon's Dept. Store in Shively where she worked in the ladies dept. for 29 years. She was a member of Shively Christian Church, where she taught Bible school and worked in the office. She also worked for Friendship House on 4th Street. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Lucy Reed. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Hewett; son, Mike Colyer (Darlene), their children, Timothy and Melissa, and great-grandchildren; her brother, Dennis Reed (Andy) and their children, Danny and Heidi. Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Owen funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 11 a.m.-8pm. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
