Violet R. Lowe ShareE-mail Visit Guest Book LOWE, VIOLET R., 83, died at her residence Saturday, May 23, 2009. She was a retired JCPS teacher and spent her 36 year career at Watson Lane Elementary and Frost Middle School. Violet was also a member of the OES Order Eastern Star, Fairdale Chapter 560. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Lowe. Survived by her daughter, Beverly J. Lowe; three grand-daughters, Heather Milby, Casandra (Jacob) Dowell and Jennifer (Ty) McDowell; six great-grand children; two brothers, Jack (Jean) Coley and "Whick" ( Shirley) Coley; three sisters , Fern (Hoyt) Hickey, Peggy (John) Chaney, Carol (Jim) Smith; and many loving nieces and nephews. Service celebrating Mrs. Lowe's life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. There is also a 7 p.m. OES service Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends may visit 1-8 p.m. Monday and 9-11 a.m. the day of the service.
