-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Virgil Floyd "Bubby" Geary ASHLAND GEARY, VIRGIL FLOYD "BUBBY," 65, beloved husband and father, died following a brave and courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 29, 1942, the son of the late James Hartford Geary and Mary Ruth Morris Geary of Louisville. He was a member of Wildwood Ministries, 29th Street Church of God, Rush Lodge #715, F. & AM, Scottish Rite, 32nd degree, El Hasa Shrine and a member of the Oriental Band. He was an electrician at CSX and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Bubby greatly enjoyed his children and grandchildren, loved yard work, NASCAR, and car shows. He had a great love of animals and neighborhood pets. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pamela Arms Geary; sons, Christopher Lee Geary (Beverly), of Louisville and Kevin Dale Geary (Lisa), of Ashland; a brother, Roger Geary (Jean), of Crestwood, KY; sisters, Marnella Phelps (Foch), of Crestwood, Nancy Blakeman (Steve), Shirley Oakes and Brenda Shouse, all of Louisville; grandchildren, Jenna, Jared and Jacob Geary, of Louisville and Cody Geary, of Ashland; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held on 10 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., Louisville, with Pastor Wayne Absher officiating. Burial will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be on Monday, from 6-8 p.m. at Marshall Steen Funeral Home, 3409 13th St., Ashland and Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.
