Virginia Colby

Colby, Virginia Rose,83, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015. She was born on May 23, 1932 in Morgantown, KY. Virginia was a retired bank teller for the old St Helen's Bank, later known as Bank of Louisville and BB&T. She lived most of her life in Louisville and was a member of Rockford Lane Baptist Church. The family would like to thank her loving caregiver, Sherry Armstrong. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Joseph Colby II in 1987 and a son, Walter Joseph Colby III in 1999. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Catherine Colby Elmes (Paul); grandchildren, Lauren, Paul Jr., Caitlyn Elmes and Joey Colby; great-grandchildren, Rowan and Logan Colby. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 12:30 pm at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road. Visitation will be 4-8 on Thursday.
