DAVIS, VIRGINIA KAY, 68, of Portland, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at her home.

She was preceded by her husband, James L. Davis, Sr.

She was a member of Gospel Assembly, also volunteered for 10 years for the Kentucky Harvest Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda K. Sanders, Robyn A. Lannan (Michael); sons, James L. Davis, Jr. (Melissa), Ronald Lee Davis; brother, Chester Lee (sonny) Scriber; grandchildren, Robert C. Sanders, Jr., Carla K. Watts, Michael P. Lannan II, Tiffany Davis, Stephanie Davis, Samantha Davis, Jessica Davis, Erica Cochran, James Watts Sr., Andrew Wick, Michael Barton and Cheri Sanders; great-grandchildren, James W. Watts II, Clarissa Watts, Emma Davis.

Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons, 2114 West Market St., followed with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West, Visitation is 2-8 p.m. on Friday.
