BROOKS, WAFER "DICK," 85, passed away Friday April 8, 2011 at Thompson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, KY.
He was a retired forklift operator for Ford Motor Co., a Navy veteran of World War II and Army veteran of the Korean War, also member of Excelsior Masonic Lodge # 258.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Catherine.
Survivors include four daughters, Pam Springer, Rita Brooks, Betty Groves and Jenny Pitcock; two brothers, Sam and Charles Brooks; five grandchildren; 15; great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 2 to 8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
