CRAWLEY, WALTER G., 83, passed away Monday August 6, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Louisville, to Elijah and Josephine (Ziegler) Crawley.
Walter was a retired machinist with the Alcan Company, with 40 years service. He was a Korean War Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post # 5421.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret R. (Wise) Crawley; a son, David A. Crawley; two brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include his daughter, Sherrill A. Walker (Timmy); two granddaughters, Susan Walker and Nicole Cobb (Jason); two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Emily.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Thursday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
