GUFFEY, WALTER P., 93, of Louisville passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.

He was a native of Jamestown, KY, a member of Rutledge Rd. Baptist Church, a retired machinist for Henry Vogt Machine Co., a Navy World War II veteran and a member of the VFW Mill Creek Post #5421.

Preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Nora (Bolin) Guffey; and two sons, Floyd and Roy Guffey Sr.

Survivors include his daughters, Lois "Ann" Koontz and Mary Guffey; brother, Carlton Guffey; three grandchildren, Ann Margaret Gutterman (Robby), Patty Ann Watkins (Doug) and Roy Guffey Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Rutledge Rd. Baptist Church, 6690 Rutledge Rd. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West, Louisville, KY. Visitation at Owen Funeral Home 1-7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at his church after noon.
