Wanda Harris

Wanda Lee Harris, 78, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022. She was born on February 17, 1944, in Somerset, Ky., to the late William Harrison and Margaret Lee Taylor Jones. Wanda was a retired long distance telephone operator for ATT. She enjoyed bowling, cooking and spending time with her family.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Monica Lynn Smith, siblings, William, Samuel, Donald, Theodore and Lois Ann.

She is survived by her children, Bryan Simmons (Sherry) and Erica Nelson (John), sisters, LaVerne Guest (William), Shirley Davis (Allie), Jacquline Hunt-Price, Mary Whitfield, Theresa Hunt, Bonita Wilson (Greg), Anita O’Bannon, brothers, Phillip Gibbons, Glenn Simpson, Paul Hunt and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time at the funeral home.
