HUGHES, WANDA LEE, 77, of Louisville, died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Hospice Inpatient Care Center.
She was a native of Hardin County, a member of the Penticostal Church and was a cafeteria worker for the Bullitt County Board of Education for 22 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Raymond and Lillian Lula Milby Strader; a brother, John R. Strader; and two brothers-in-law, Jerry Daugherty and David Babb.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Prentice Hughes; two sons, Victor Jim (Patricia) Hughes of Shepherdsville and John Randall (Barbara) Hughes of Louisville; two daughters, Donna Marie (Perry) Flowers of Louisville and Valerie Dee (Richard) Schaefer of LaGrange; two brothers, David C. Strader of Louisville and Charles (Joyce) Strader of Alabama; four sisters, Faye (Odell) Kennedy, Sandy Daugherty, Phyllis (Stuart) Humphrey and Cindy Babb all of Elizabethtown; eight grandchilden; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Faith Apostolic Church in Elizabethtown with Rev. David Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continue after 9 a.m. Monday at the Church.
