Wanita L. Babb Share E-mail Visit Guest Book BABB, WANITA L., 88, of Louisville passed from this life on Friday September 11, 2009 at Baptist Hospital East.
She was the former Wanita Loofbourrow, a native of Genoa, CO, a retired elementary school teacher and principal for the old Louisville Public Schools and the Jefferson County Public Schools for over 35 years, and a member of the Alpha Beta Chapter Delta Kappa Gamma.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Wilkes R. Babb.
She is survived by a daughter, Lyda Kathleen Babb; a sister, Reva Ewinger; a niece, three nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Mrs. Babb's life will be held at noon Tuesday at the Southern Home of, Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Truman State University.
