BEGGS, WILLIAM "BILL" LLOYD, 80, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit at Norton Pavilion.
He was a native of Paducah, KY, an Eagle Scout, a retired plant manager for Bell South, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of Beargrass Christian Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lettye Beggs; and his brother, Charles Beggs.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he is survived by his wife, Ruby Sealy Beggs; his children, Steve Beggs (Liz McNamara), Susan Guin (Jason), Sandy Beggs (Sandy Pearsall), and Sherri Crosby (Chuck); sister, Shirley Osborne; and his grandchildren, Brandon Vaughn, Nicholas Vaughn (Rhiannon), Kelsey Jones, Chyppe Crosby, Billy Crosby, Stephen Crosby, Stephanie Crosby and Lauren Crosby.
His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd., in St. Matthews with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East with military honors. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman's.
