He was a unique character who left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He is survived by his children William N. Emerson Jr. (Dawn), Scott K. Emerson (Colleen), Cynthia L. Emerson, Debra E. Emerson and William J. Emerson, of Tennessee; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Johnny, Rachel and Kinsey; brother, James Emerson (Shorty); and sister, Ida Lewis; his pet and constant companion, Peach.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Burial will be private at Louisville Memorial Gardens.
