HARDIN, WILLIAM E., 77, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, December 19, 2012.

Mr. Hardin was born October 1, 1935 in Louisville to the late William M. and Ola Mae Carfield Hardin and was former co-owner of 7th Street Foam. Mr. Hardin was a member of Marcus Lindsey United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Shawnee Masonic Lodge #830.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents; and sisters, Martha Frazier and Mary Jo Priest.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 60 years, Lois Hardin; daughters, Peggy Gordon (Thomas), Billie Neel and Brenda Hankins (Steve); grandsons, Frankie, Kyle, Jason, Jamie, Joe and Jeff; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma Hardin and Dorothy Dietrich; and a host of other family and friends, especially Bobby Jewell and Vicky Payton.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy., at Brooks Rd.). Friends may pay their respects from noon until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Expression of sympathy may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
