William J. Ruffra "Bill" Share E-mail Visit Guest Book RUFFRA, WILLIAM J. "BILL," 90, returned to his heavenly Father, Friday, July 24, 2009.
He served his community for 33 years as a City of Louisville Police Officer, served his country during World War II in the Army stationed in Germany, a member of the F.O.P., and Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha C. Ruffra, and his brother, Clarence Ruffra.
He is survived by his son, John Ruffra (Denise); a daughter, Rosie Downs (Todd); grandchildren, Scott, Laurel and Julie; great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Nathan; brother, Al Ruffra; and his loving companion, Pat Herren.
Funeral will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at J.E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Dr.
