SHELTON, WILLIAM G. "BILL", 89, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East.
He was born in Louisville, KY, to William and Pauline (Stapleton) Shelton. "Bill" was retired from National Distilleries, as a General Foreman and was a member of St. James Church. He was a World War II and Korean War Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Frances (Diersing) Shelton.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheri Kurtz; two grandchildren, Heather Schetler (John) and Kenny Kurtz; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Matthew and Dakota; a brother, Frederic Shelton (Ruby); and a special nephew, David Williams (Karen).
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m.
