MORRIS, WILMA, passed away.
She was born in Bowling Green, KY on May 12, 1921 to Rev. Robert H. and Thousia Garrison. She lived in Shively, KY with her husband, Hubert. Wilma was a graduate of Valley High School and taught at Howard Business School. She worked for many years in the Jefferson County Circuit Court and as a financial secretary for Christ United Methodist Church.
She was a longtime member of Evangel World Prayer Center, where she last served on the "Prayer Line." Wilma is remembered by all as a warm and charming lady, and a devoted Christian who translated her love for God and concern for others into a continuous flow of generosity and compassion. She lived the bible verse, "For me, to live is Christ, to die is gain" Philippians, 1:21 She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Hodge and Ardis Trinkle; granddaughters, Hannah and Elizabeth Trinkle of Lexington, KY; a sister, Virginia McCoy; and a brother, Harold Garrison.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with private burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Online condolences to owenfuneralhome.com.
