MONAHAN, WINSTON E., 79, of Pleasure Ridge Park, returned to his Heavenly Father Monday, June 10, 2013.
Mr. Monahan was born May 30, 1934 in Clarksville, NY, to the late Jessie J. and Dorothy Helen Richmond Monahan. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. Mr. Monahan was an insurance salesman for American General, Commonwealth and Lincoln Insurance Company and was a member of Beechland Baptist Church.
Among those who preceded him in death include his parents; sister, Arlene; and brothers, Gerald and Carl Monahan.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Elizabeth Monahan; children, Melody Spink, Rusty Cason (Louise), Cindy Lou Shaner (Dave), Sherry Lynn Monahan and Bryan Glen Monahan (Theresa); 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst.
