Smith, Wylyne Verlynda,
70, also known as "Lynda" went to be with her Heavenly Father in the early afternoon on July 9, 2014 after a very brave and valiant fight against an illness.
She was born in Pulaski, TN to Ed and Clyde Gordon who preceded her in death, as did her "second" parents, Robin and Myrtle Gordon.
She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church, and co-director of the H.O.P.E.
Dollar Store.
A strong Christian wife and mother, she leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband Donald Smith; daughters Dionne Burns (Rod), Shannen Heyman (James), and Camille Smith; sisters, Geraldine Gordon-Brown, Wanda Andrews
(Ernest) and brother Julius Gordon; six grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and many friends.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. - noon Monday followed by the funeral at her church, 1501 S. Louis Coleman Drive. Interment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
