Michael Drago

Drago, Michael Eugene View/Sign Guest Book DRAGO, MICHAEL EUGENE, 58,was welcomed into Heaven by his mother, Patricia Sue Blanton Drago Tuesday, October 2, 2007, aft er a short battle with brain cancer. He was a graduate of Valley High School, Class of 1967 and a member of Harvest Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company (LAP Plant), Magistrate 3rd District (Justice of the Peace) and a SCUBA instructor. Mike was a Mason (Shawnee Lodge #830, a member of the Louisville Scottish Rite Temple, Kentucky Colonel and an active member of the Grassroots Democratic Club. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his high school sweetheart, wife of 21 years and best friend, Madeline Beams Drago. He was a loving stepdad to Tiffany Miles Anderson and grandfather to Gage Anderson, whom he loved deeply. Also left behind is his father, Gene Drago; brother, Tony Drago; sister, Becky Stivers; parents-in-law, Emmett and Agnes Beams; and many other close family members and friends. The family would like to thank their friends for all the support and prayers during theses difficult months. Acknowledgement would also like to be given to the many dedicated angels at Hospice of Louisville for their devoted and compassionate care, as well as kindness, during Mike's illness. Friends are asked to join the family in a service to commemorate Mike's life 11 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial immediately following at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: noon-9 p.m. Thursday with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mike's name are encouraged to be made to Hospice.
