Aline Geis

GEIS, ALINE passed away peacefully on Mother's Day, 2009. She was born in Chaumont, KY in 1914 and lived most of her young life in Park City, KY. She was a faithful member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Winn Dixie. She will be deeply missed by her many friends, family members and the birds that she fed regardless of her health or whereabouts. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Hal Geis; sister, Verna Shaw; and brothers, Irvin and Elmer Thompson. She is survived by her twin, Alma Miller, of Louisville; nephews, Dennis Miller (Louise), of Louisville and Richard Thompson (Ruth), of Michigan; and niece, Lou Ira Salley (Clyde), of Park City. Her funeral service will be Wednesday at noon in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East on Hwy. 22. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Louisville Humane Society would be appreciated.
