Beatrice Head

Beatrice Y. "Miss Bea" Head, 90, wife to the late Jack Head, Sr. for 69 years, passed away at Hildegard House on Sunday February 26, 2017. She was, also, preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Jesse McAdams and sister Lillian Abell.
She retired as Director of Classified Personnel for JCPS, was an active member of Rockford Lane Baptist Church, where she served as Leisure Club coordinator, taught Sunday school and sang with the choir.
She leaves to cherish her memory son, Jack Head, Jr. (Janet), along with grandchildren Jeremy Head (Carrie), Kristyn Bowman (Christopher), great-grandchildren, Lillian and Jacob Head, and Jameson Bowman. She is also survived by her sister Alvona "Bonnie" Erwin (John) and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express gratitude and thanks to Barton House and the entire staff at Hildegard House for the loving care and attention provided to Miss Bea.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 at the funeral home.
