JENKINS, DAN LEE, 83, went to be with Jesus Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Born in Upton, KY, he was a retired entrepreneur, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen; brothers, Edward and Gerald; sister, Viola; and stepmother, Eva. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his son, Gary Jenkins; daughter, Cheri Winebrenner (Steve ); stepdaughters, Rhonda Dum (Jim) and Celeste Beam (Harry); 12 grandchildren, Cherith, Kara, Ryan, Stephen, Kyle, Nikki, Kristin, Nick, Kevin, Michael, Jenny and Kyle; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Barry and Brad. His funeral will be 11 a.m. at Cloverleaf Baptist Church, 4401 Manslick Road, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., and after 10 a.m. Saturday at his church. In lieu of flowers, expressions may be made to the church building fund or Hosparus of Louisville.
