BURT, DOLLIE D. (SERMON), 79, passed away Friday October 21, 2011.
Born in West Point, KY, she was a member of Ormsby Heights Baptist Church and a CNA who worked 10 years for Briarwood Health & Rehab Center and at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. For many years she taught Sunday School for Lee's Lane Baptist and Ormsby Heights Church.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Nettie Sue; and parents, Hazel (Johnson) and William G. Sermon.
Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Joseph "Joe" E. Burt; five children, Sharon E. Clark, Betty L. Huber, Mark A. Burt, Keith W. Burt (Kimberly) and Lorie A. Burt; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, William, Raymond and George Sermon; and sister, Helen Allen.
Her service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial is at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is Monday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Family wishes to thank the staff at Summerfield for their loving care and support.
In lieu of flowers, expressions may be made to her church building fund.
