NORMAN, EDWARD L. "ED," 81, passed away surrounded by his loving family Thursday, April 3,2014. He was born in Pleasureville, KY, he was an over the road truck driver where he drove for Bremer Biscuit, American Synthetic Rubber and retired from Teamsters Local #89. He was an Air Force veteran during the Korean War, a member of the Shively Masonic Lodge # 951, past patron of Shively Eastern Star and a member of Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Grace Norman; and brother, Raymond. Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Gladys G. (Brown) Norman; two daughters, Jeanne Rogers (Richard) and Peggy Eiglebach (Michael); three grandchildren, Matthew Price, Mallory Olenick (Vick) and Magan Eiglebach; one great-granddaughter, Ophelia Olenick; sister, Mildred Smith; and his precious loyal companion, "Gracie Mae". His funeral service will be 10 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, expressions may be made to Kosair Charities or Hosparus.
