Ellen Odam

Ellen Marie Odam, 74, loving wife to Jimmy Odam, passed away at home on Friday APRIL 27, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born to the late William and Margaret (Case) Pottinger on January 15, 1944. She is also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kelly Marie Thore and by her brother, Robert O. Pottinger.
Ellen retired as a manager of administration for CSX Transportation and was a member of Ninth & O Baptist Church.
Besides her husband of 19 years, Ellen is survived by her two daughters, Tracy Postlewait (Ronnie) and Shannon Heitzman (John), grandchildren Brennan Hayes, Matthew Childress, Laney Williams, Savannah Childress, Jackson Williams, Carson Odam, Marlow Odam along with step-children, Shannon Odam and Mynette Williams (David). She will also be missed by her sister Mindy Aschbacher (Bill), nephew Evan and niece Emily.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Monday, April 30th from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
