WOODS, ELMER L. JR., 77, passed away January 28, 2013.
He was a retired employee at Fall City Brewery Co., an Army veteran, member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church and the Tee-Bumpers Golf Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ella Woods; children, Marlyce Woods-Johnson (D'Shawn), Bryon L. Woods (Valerie) and Kenneth C. Woods; grandchildren, Mary Ella Johnson, Michael Woodson and Kendall Reeves; a great-grandchild, Ayvion Woodson, and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at his church, 2200 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday at A.D. Porter & Sons, 1300 W. Chestnut St.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hosparus or Greater Kentucky Alzheimer's Association in the name of Elmer L. Woods Jr.
