Hudson, Evelyn Lucille View/Sign Guest Book HUDSON, EVELYN LUCILLE, 85, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Baptist Hospital East. She was a member of Shively Heights Baptist Church and a member of Shively Branch of the order of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben R. Hudson Sr; and her son, Ralph Hudson Jr. She is survived by daughters, Donna Hudson Conkin and Peggy Hudson Braden (Walter Jr.); daughter-in-law, Sharon Hudson McStoots; brothers, Lloyd Chaney and Clarence Chaney; grandchildren, Trey Branden, Amy Hughes, Bethany Kaestner, Daniel Skaggs Jr., Jason Hudson, Andrea Wyndham and Ashley Hudson. Also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and friend and loving caregiver, Doris Literal. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, with private burial to follow. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts be made to either Project Hope care of C.J. Morgan at Valleyview Baptist Church, Louisville, KY or Life's Song for Orphans P.O. Box 40 Gridley, IL 61744 to the attention of Evelyn Hudson Memorials. A celebration of Evelyn's life will follow the service on Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
