Fred W. Crawford Jr. Share E-mail Visit Guest Book CRAWFORD, FRED W. JR., 82, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 13, 2009.
He was a retired quality control supervisor at Ford Motor Co., a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, retired commander for the U.S. Coast Guard, an avid UofL Fan, a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church and attended Summit Heights United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Helen Bratcher; sons, Fred, III (Colette), Steve (Terri), Kevin (Janet Jakubowicz), Mark (Jeanette) and Todd (Belinda) Crawford; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and sister, Anna Marge Hill.
His funeral is 11 a.m. on Friday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given any charity of the donor's choice.
