ADAMSON, HUGH M., 74, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 in Keller, TX.

He was born December 6, 1937 in Louisville. Hugh was a former employee of Brown & Williamson and owner/operator of Frames and Things on Frankfort Avenue. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force; past president of Frankfort Avenue Business Association; past Kentucky Sportsman "Sportsman of the Year" and "Conservation Educator of the Year" and Harrods Creek Field & Stream Club "Sportsman of the Year." He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh P. and Alice Jekel Adamson; and his wife, Retta E. Adamson.

Hugh is survived by a daughter, Monique Mistler (David), Keller; stepdaughter, Peggy Sutton (Gary) and a stepson, Michael Helton (Maggie) both of New Albany, IN; sisters, Lynn Linde of Mt. Washington, KY and Nancy Ford of Leesburg, FL; brother, James "Jim" Adamson of Shepherdsville, KY; grandchildren, Bryant Mistler, Michael Helton (Kristy) and Daniel Helton (Chichi); great-grandchildren, Jake and Zach Helton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday until time of service.
