QUINN, JOHN D. "JACK" JR., 80, of Louisville passed away Wednesday February 9, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East with his family by his side.
He attended Rockhurst High School and was a graduate of Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS with an architectural degree. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War, retired as a Major after 20 years of service in the Marine Reserves. He practiced architecture throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. He was very active in Church of the Epiphany for 23 years and presently in St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church in Jeffersontown, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavada and John "Jack" Quinn and son, Timothy Quinn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Roberta Elwell "Bobbi" Quinn; sons, John Quinn (Sherry), Andy Quinn (Melissa) and Matt Quinn; and grandchildren, Alicia, Eric, Michael, Tyler, Megan, Cameron, Hayden, Mollie, McKenna, Nathan, Madelyn and Maxwell.
His funeral Mass will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens East to follow. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Pearson Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road.
