BRENNAN, LELA ELIZABETH (REDMON), 91, of Louisville, passed away August 12, 2012 at Summerfield Health & Rehabilitation Center due to natural causes.
She was born June 9, 1921 in Louisville, the daughter of the late Mary Sinfrosia Barker and Richard Jerome Redmon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bertrand "Bert" Brennan, Jr.; sisters, Aline McDonogh and Helen Hart; brothers, James Redmon Sr., Irvin Redmon and Leslie Redmon.
Lela is survived by her four children, Carol Brennan (Edwin), Louis Bertrand "Louie" Brennan II (Joan), Charles Thomas "Tommy" Brennan (Irma) and Marian Pearl (Butch); sister, Frances Runyan; brother, Ronald Redmon (Carolyn); six grandchildren Eddie, Tara, Louie, Shelly, Lisa and Jennifer; six great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Marian Brennan.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. Monday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
