White, Lynn Hilan,
84, passed away peacefully at Norton Pavilion Hospice on September 1, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleva and Florence Kinser, her brother, Mcrantion Kinser and her in laws, Charlie and Velma White of Edmonson County. Hilan was born July 22, 1930 in Edmonson County. She graduated from Sunfish High School in 1948. She was a member of the Larchmont Church of God since 1949. She started the Friendways youth program and was in charge of decorating the church for many years. She loved working with the Larchmont youth and was involved with the missionary circle. She worked at Lorillard Tobacco Co. for 36 years as a machine operator where she established factory efficiency records.
She was diagnosed with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH) in 1994. She started the first PPH Support Group in Kentucky because this is such a rare disease with no cure except for transplant. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral service will be held noon Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to Larchmont Church of God or the Primary Pulmonary Association (phassociation.org).
