Maxton Allen Grider passed quietly in his sleep early the morning of December, 26, 2015. He was born in Russell Springs, KY, on June 21, 1934 to Margie Breeding and raised on the family farm of Otha & Martha Grider (his maternal grandparents). He joined the Army in 1956 and was a 20-year veteran receiving awards and honors for his service in the U.S. Army and retired Executive Chef under General Michael Davison. Mack was a devoted husband to Min Ja and loving father to their five children, Patricia Kestler (Stephen), Barbara Cruse (Tim), Karen Gahafer-Buryn (Eric), Allen Grider (Angela), and Sandra McCreary (Stephen Jr.) along with eleven grandchildren, Collin and Kyele (Kelsey), Candace (Sam), Dalton, Tori, Christopher (Sara), Michael, Stephen III, Zoe, Ella, Lily and a great-grandson, Porter Maxton.
