Rosie Toomey

Rosalind “Rosie” Toomey, 65, passed away on October 12, 2022. Rosie was born on August 1, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Jim and Shirley Fleischer Toomey. She was a Catholic, a graduate of Angela Merici High School, a former employee of Mother’s Cookies, a massage therapist, and an instructor at the Louisville School of Massage.

Rosie was preceded in death by her mother, her father and stepmother Marilyn

Rosie is survived by her brothers, Willy Toomey (Donnettia) and Wayne Toomey (Beverly Smith); sister, Mary Piles (Ronnie); nieces and nephews, Kyle, Lauren, Sara and Sam;  great nieces and nephews, Gracie, Kaylee, Hank and Ella; special friends, Kim, Tim and Angie.

Funeral services for Rosie will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, on Tuesday, October 18th at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kentucky Humane Society in Rosie’s memory.
