DURST, STERLING, 91, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Friendship Manor in Pewee Valley.
He retired as president of Gamble Brothers after 32 years and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and a U.S. Naval veteran.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Christine Griffin Durst; and son, S. Allan Durst.
He is survived by his loving children, Mark Durst (Jan) and Bonnie Durst Mullin (Kyle); daughter-in-law, Carolyn Durst; grandchildren, Kristie, Alison, Jamie, Matthew, Christopher, Dara, Heather and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Amber, Madalyn, Cade, Todd, McKenna, Hayden, Nash, Kylee, Sally and Kathryn.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at Pearson Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Presbyterian Church.
