Harris, Virginia Ruth View/Sign Guest Book HARRIS, VIRGINIA RUTH, 89, of Dadeville, AL, formerly of Louisville, passed away Monday May 5, 2008 at Bethany House in Auburn, AL, following an extended illness. Mrs. Harris was born April 23, 1919 in Hancock County, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen S. Harris. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Johnson (Lavaughn), of Dadeville and Sherry Shah (Shailesh), of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Lyle Johnson (Denise), Todd Johnson (Anne), Wade Johnson (Suzanne), Jamie Shah, Eric Shah and Jennifer Shah; one brother Pratt Jarboe (Christine); and three great- grandchildren, Rollie, Tiller and Luci Johnson. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and a Christian lady who loved southern gospel music. Special thanks go to the medical and support staff at EAMC and Hospice for the loving care shone during her latter days. A celebration of Mrs. Harris' life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will after 1 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to your favorite charity.
